Things have been busy here. Seems like Spetember just flew by. We were supposed to take a trip to Calgary but time just got away, and then I realized we were supposed to leave in a few weeks. So Dan and I decided we'd rather put the money towards some new flooring and get rid of the rug in the livingroom. Oh and as I type this a Red Lobster all you can eat shrimp commercial comes on just to torture me. New flooring or all you can eat shrimp. *sigh* the way I see it you can buy an aweful lot of shrimp for the price of gas to Calgary. So the flooring wins. Dan's also been painting up a storm. Well a slow but methodically moving storm. Gets the job done without feeling too hard done by. He painted the laundry room and he painted the kitchen a couple nights ago. Its now a sunny yellow colour. It used to be a taracotta/pumpkin pie colour, and I just found it too dark. I loved it after we first painted it last fall, but it began to drive me nuts. So...we'll see how Sunny yellow does...so far so good...feels so happy!! He is doing our mainfloor/guest bathroom this weekend. Whispy Peach. And we got a marble sink and vanity to go in it and a beautiful etched mirror. A friend poitned out a few months ago that he was surprised that the only room in our home I hadn't redone since we purchased it was the one room every guest saw. The bathroom. And ever since then....its been mocking me!! So I finally broke the news to Dan and he admitted that ever since my friend A told me that he knew it was coming. No that it needed redoiong, but...not physically, but now, yep...needs doing. So it shall be done.
WE played paintball a about 3 weeks ago. I still have 3 bruises on my leg. It was a good game. Alhough I wasn't too fond of the "REGEN" games. Seriously thats when I got bruised. When you can get shot and touch home base and come back to life. My god, its inhumane. During normal games I held my own but during the regen games I just wanted it over. I didn't get shot until at least halfway through but I felt like I was repeatedly shooting the same people. And then BOOM I got shot. and then as I was walkng of the feild BOOM shot again 3 times up the lag. I was pissed. Then I found out it was friendly fire. Nice...then I got shot 2 more times before the game ended. Longest game of my life...I'd never been shot that many times in all over games combined. I think I got shot about 7 places. 3 kills, but 7 different paintballs hit me. UGH...Then I ran out of ammo in the last game so I stood up and raised my gun in the signal that I was out. And WHACK. shot. nice...but overall I played a good game. Dan played a great game. He got shot and out as many time(well he missed one game because he was buying more ammo) but other than that he was a demon. jumping, running, squatting and fully taking advantage of the forts. Our country would be safe with around I tell you. Thats my baby!! We are planning to go again in October, as soon as we can all set a date to get together.
Our Jann Arden concert in Kelowna is cming up on October 12th I think. Dan planned it all. Drove down to Kelowna after telling me he had to go there to help one of our cleints, and bought the tickets, then he stopped at restaurant we realy liked and made reservations 3 months in advance!! and called his mom to arrange for her to drive down to our house to babysit that night while we go. I luvs that man. He spoils me so. Although I was a little ticked off. Not at him of course but at the fact that I tried to do the same. I couldn't find the tickets anywhere. Turns out they were not available though ticketmaster, but directly from the Prospera place box office. he drives in the car with the radio more often so I guess he heard it. Although I hadn't planned the dinner etc...so he trumped me on that one!!
We had a really good PEsto CHicken lasagna from COstco today. Normally I don't like store bought lasagna but this was really good. Kallie and Kenzie ate it like crazy and I adored it. Dan wasn't as fond of it as we were but still thought it was good. He just isn't normally a pesto guy. So I saved the extra for myself tomorrow. Or maybe later tonight. Tonights good.

I'm waiting for it to get light out before I do the last of my packing and organizing, right now. I got up waaay too early. And the number will stay the same, thank goodness (soo much easier).
